Chef Dwight Davis

Our chef Dwight Davis was born and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica. His experience in Jamaican cuisine and his natural talent for cooking makes him the perfect chef for the job. Dwight started cooking at a very young age. He was 12 years old when he started cooking in his grandmother’s kitchen helping to prepare meals for their family.

In his late teens, after finishing high school, he pursued his passion for cooking and furthered his education in “Caribbean Cuisine & Catering” at Kenilworth Heart Academy. After graduation, his first job opportunity came as a chef at Industrial Catering in Kingston, Jamaica. He then moved on to other job opportunities in the Kingston area where he furthered honed in on his skills as a chef.

His Career Path

He was well known in his community for his culinary skills and his creative dishes and was often called on to cater small events such as parties, weddings, and church gatherings.

His career path led him to the hotel Industry, where he took on a chef position at Ocean View Restaurant and Cottage in Black River, Jamaica. He then took on a chef position at Milk River Hotel & Spa, a 4-star hotel and spa in Clarendon, Jamaica.

Dwight went on to spread his wings in the US, working at Ro’s Restaurant and Island Grill restaurants in Brooklyn New York. Through a recommendation, Dwight Davis moved to NJ to take on the position as Head Chef of Rhythm & Spice Jamaican Grill to enlighten us with his many cooking talents!
